Black + Haus Tavern in downtown Parker delivered a really solid dinner, and the star was the boneless braised short ribs. The short rib itself was properly braised tender enough to cut with a fork, with good beef flavor that wasn't lost in the sauce. It came with Parmesan risotto that was creamy and well-seasoned, plus a mushroom demi-glace that added earthiness without being too heavy. The plate felt balanced rather than overly rich. The space has that neighborhood-tavern feel: comfortable, a little lively, good for a date night or casual dinner. Our server was attentive without hovering. Pricing is typical for Parker (this entrée is in the mid-$30s), and the portion was satisfying. I'd come back specifically for this dish. If you like classic braised beef done well, this is one of the stronger options on Mainstreet.
